In search of a story, I want to tell I wondered about what topics I want to research upon because I often feel conflicted from the communities I participate in when they don’t share
the same beliefs. I wondered where I stand between the social different values. I was raised in a Chinese household and at school I was taught the Dutch morals. Later in life, my family converted to Christianity and we learned about evangelical doctrine as well. I find myself being a Christian much more interesting since I believe that I choose to be one instead
of being born into it. The conflict I feel at times is that Chinese people view Christianity as a Western religion and has no place in the Chinese culture. Whereas Western people often think that religion no longer has a place in modern society.
So to understand this situation more, I will research the
topic of Christianity in China.
